The worst part of animal abuse isn’t always the physical scars. Often it’s the emotional isolation that leaves the deepest and most painful cuts in a dog’s heart. They’re social and loving creatures, and to deny them that is one of the cruelest acts of all.
Some people think that dogs who suffered that kind of abuse are so damaged that they’re incapable of properly interacting with other animals and humans ever again. To to test this theory, animal rescue organization Hope For Paws put two recently rescued pit bulls in a room together, let them off their leashes, stood back and watched.
These two pit bulls had been isolated and abused their whole lives. Things didn’t get off to the best start. But watch the video to see what they do next.
